Born as a working tool, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been known since 1979 for its uncompromising construction, square design and extreme durability. This 1998 G300 diesel dates from the era when a G-class was still built for utility before luxury, the car is incredibly solid mechanically and honestly screwed together.
The strong and reliable diesel engine delivers classic G-class traction, both on country roads and when the surface becomes more demanding. The car has had the same owner since 2016, which indicates a well-maintained vehicle that has been used, but also looked after. The last owner had the car from 2016-2026, and in 2017 the car was disassembled and repainted in the same original color, the seats got new leather and so did the door trims. All shock absorbers, bushings etc. were changed in the undercarriage as well as on the engine and gearbox. The engine is made by an authorized Mercedes workshop. The top plane and flame discs changed etc. The main bearing has been checked and a new piston fitted on the cylinder towards the cabin.

This is a real G-Class with character, history and plenty of life left – for those who want a car with soul and not just another SUV.
Under the hood is the well-known 3.0-liter inline-six diesel, known for its robustness and long life. The engine is built to run many hundreds of thousands of kilometers with proper maintenance
